Olaf Tufte's training - would like to draw your attention to

For those who don't know, Tufte is the olympic champion in rowing in the men's singles in 2004 and 2008. I was browsing his website and found some pictures I (being a rower and crossfitter) thought were pretty cool, and thought you guys would too. This guy obviously encorporates what we'd call functional movements into his training!

ALL ARE WFS

And while not rowing he's a farmer and firefighter, and likes to compete in cross country skiing and mountain biking! A pretty fit guy...

Let's get this guy to a sectional! Can you find his email? Send him an invitation, couldn't hurt right?

Good idea! I bet with a bit of training in the all of the movements he would have a good shot at the games. I've read that his max back squat is 185kg (407lbs), and there's a video on youtube of him deadlifting 190x8! Only disadvantage might be his height, although at 6'3" he's not as tall as a lot of rowers.

Cool. I especially like the tan lines in #3. Reminds me of my cycling days. (Except of course I couldn't do a pull up then.)

Ha the 'All-in-one tan line'...picked one of those up rowing this year as well.

Read on article on his training, he's got a pretty beastly 2k time, 5:46, and apparently his coach's main problem is getting him to rest.
