Back Squat and metcons

just curious, why back squats are never used in metcons?

I'm just guessing, but the safety issue with failing. Dumping a squat is not a hard thing, but doing while fatigued, especially in a crowded box can lead to injuries not just for the person doing it, but for those around them as well.
