Just started 1st Krav Maga class and realized how unpowerful my punches and kicks are, thought I might see if there are any recommendation for a good bag to practice at home
Thanks,
Steve

I have and like both the Wavemaster bag that can be filled with sand or water in the base, and a BOB bag. They both serve a good purpose, and I use both. However, with powerful strikes, you can turn over the Wavemaster.

Steve,

I am also practicing Krav Maga and have a bag at home. Greg's suggestion is right on the spot: get a big, long bag with lots of space around it so you can practice hitting it with various body parts at different heights, circling around it as you hit (always turn and look to see what is behind you!). I would prefer a hanging bag to a standing one - most of the standing ones are not solid enough, you will topple them over with hard leg/knee attacks, especially if you are clinching. Of course, you will need a solid mount point for this - if your ceiling or wall is not made of concrete, you might need to go the standing bag route.

Cheers,

Christian
