On days when deadlifts are on the menu, does it matter if you choose sumo deadlifts versus traditional? I prefer sumos a little more, they seem to "fit" better for me, and, at least with my current PR, I seem to be able to lift the same amount with either.

Standard DL's tend to work the posterior chain more effectively. Unless you're powerlifting, that's really their purpose in CF workouts. If you're powerlifting, the max is of paramount importance. I suppose you could mix it up but I'd go with standard.

I alternate sets of the two types, depending on the type of DL workout (strength vs. metcon).

Women may find the sumo style easier if they have wider hips. I generally do the normal kind, though.
