adductor strain on back squats

Happened on my third set and second rep of the exercise, and all of a sudden I felt a big old spasm in my left adductor magnus. The last few days I have been icing on and off and did some soft tissue work a couple days after the injury and it seems to be better today.

However, I think my adductors are getting overused where i don't feel my glutes and hamstrings much in the movement of the squat anymore(and i do squat below parallel close stance). What is the best method to go about on this to get back up to speed? Im considering bill starr's injury protocol, but I want to hear from others who have had this injury and what helped or didn't help them.

Thanks,

Aaron

Re: adductor strain on back squats

Let's get a look at your form.. if you can vid yourself (all angles) that would be good.

Could be a variety of different reasons which we can't really tell unless we can see what's going on. Are you part of an affiliate where they have a trainer who can check your form?
