Re: Official WordPress users thread.
I just this weekend redid my own personal website to switch it over to a Wordpress site and I'm loving it! It's going to make it so much easier to update the content - my old site looked cool, but it was a pain to update, so I never did it!

Re: Official WordPress users thread.
Good lookin site Becca!
When I built our site I checked out several blog systems (blogspot, typepad, etc) and settled on WordPress. I love it. Very easy to admin and even easier to customize and change themes. The number of plugins you can add are mind boggling, and very easy to use. Also, WordPress makes every aspect of posting and adding pics as simple as writing an email. This was a huge selling point for me because the person doing our daily posts likes things simple, and I don't like getting calls from him in the middle of the night when he's having issues with the site. lol (love ya Jason!) |

Re: Official WordPress users thread.
Belinder,
If you are using widgets in your sidebar, you can copy and paste the html language for the CFJ link into a "text" widget and then place it in whichever sidebar you are using. If you aren't using widgets, then you need to place the html language directly in the sidebar.php file of the theme you are using. Follow? If you need the html for the CFJ link, let me know. If you need help doing the above, pm me and we'll set up a way for me to do it for you and then show you how. Matt |

Re: Official WordPress users thread.
Kylie, I rebuilt your table on a new page on my site and found one difference.
On this line: <p align="center">WOD in the park<br /> remove the <br /> See if that makes a difference. IF that doesn't work try replacing your whole table code with this: <table style="height: 226px; text-align: center;" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="450"> <tbody> <tr> <th width="80"> <p align="center">Time</p> </th> <th width="80"> <p align="center">Mon</p> </th> <th width="80"> <p align="center">Tues</p> </th> <th width="80"> <p align="center">Wed</p> </th> <th width="80"> <p align="center">Thur</p> </th> <th width="80"> <p align="center">Fri</p> </th> <th width="80"> <p align="center">Sat</p> </th> </tr> <tr> <td> <p align="center"><strong>6am</strong></p> </td> <td bgcolor="#808080"> <p align="center">am Group WOD</p> </td> <td> </td> <td bgcolor="#808080"> <p align="center">am Group WOD</p> </td> <td> </td> <td bgcolor="#808080"> <p align="center">am Group WOD</p> </td> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <p align="center"><strong>8.30am</strong></p> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <p align="center"><strong>9.30am</strong></p> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> <p align="center">Just for the ladies</p> </td> <td bgcolor="#808080"> <p align="center">WOD in the park</p> Fadden</td> </tr> <tr> <td> <p align="center"><strong>Lunch time</strong></p> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <p align="center"><strong>7pm</strong></p> </td> <td> <p align="center">Calwell Group WOD</p> </td> <td> </td> <td> <p align="center">Calwell Group WOD</p> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> <td> </td> </tr> </tbody></table> <table style="text-align: center;" border="1" bgcolor="#808080"> <tbody> <tr> <td>Group Sessions Coming soon</td> </tr> </tbody></table> |

Re: Official WordPress users thread.
Kylie,
How did you create the table? What version of Wordpress are you using? Matt |

Re: Official WordPress users thread.
Kris,
thank you for that, although i really dont understand!?!?!? I tried both suggestions and neither seemed to work on 2 other computers, but looks fine on a different 2 computers (mine included), that cant be normal? The new text you posted, looks better (on my computer anyway) making the table more even and spread out. Matt, I just googled some table HTML and had a play around with it. we are using Word press version 2.6.1. The guys who are hosting our site (dotinfohosting.com.au) created the account for us and did say not to update it for some reason. Thanks again for you help and time with this ![]() |
