Hi All,

Just a thought on some decent full body movements -

I love the cleans and presses, I feel the benefit from head to toe and love the movement, however, it wouls seem to be predominently a lower body and back stressor (hip extension) - which is cool.

My question is this - is there a decent exercise that would work the body in the opposite plains of movement? i.e. hip flexion - kinda of instead of pulling a weight up, more pulling it down from over head to feet level?

Maybe the ab wheel type movement and stress is what I am after? Or feet to bar type stuff?

Any thoughts would be good ta!

I believe it's the muscle up, according to Tyler Hass. He said in some article that the two exercises you need to become fit are the clean and jerk and the muscle up.

how about ball slams? or sledge hammer + great big tire? or GH sit-up + wall ball throw?

so many ways to hurt, so little time...

That's insane Lincoln. Did you use the 45lb plate for the entire workout?

Absolutely, totally, over-the-top, out-of-control, sick.

I gotta try that with a 25. If I can get 10 reps, it will be amazing.

(Strictly speaking, though, I think those are "roll ups", not "kip ups" . . . which would simply be unbelievable.)

You could also head over to Gym Jones and take a look at what they call Cousins (http://www.gymjones.com/schedule.php?date=20051015). I've done a few of those and they do get your attention. If you do it with a ball slam finish they call them Inbred Cousins.

I'd like to add the Reverse Squat. It involves a pulley machine providing resistance towards the ceiling and executing a squat movement. I'm assuming most do it with a lat pulldown machine and bar. After enough weight is added, one will have to secure the feet to the ground. I have never done these, they sound interesting though.

For anterior chain MC exercise, look to the VersaClimber.

cheers for the speedy responses! will have a play, am thinking I may try a pull over with no back support ie feet fixed and legs on bench:-)

I've got to tell you - every time I see that picture I think to myself "if I tried that I wonder what would hit the ground first - my butt or the back of my head." Amazing.
