Yippee! My time was 1:28:15 officially - 1:27:11 by my stop watch (start line to finish line)- My goal was to beat 1:30. I did it!

I have to say, although it was hard, it didn't feel as difficult as I anticipated. A friend advised me not to spend all my energy on the first mile, so I made it in an easy 12 minutes. The rest, I just kept putting one foot in front of the other, trudged through water, slogged through mud, swam a little when my feet wouldn't touch and crawled when required.

The course was hilly, sandy, rocky, wet, muddy, etc. In short, it was all it was cracked up to be. I just wasn't as wimpy as I expected!

I hurt. My knees were on strike last night, tonight it's my hips and tomorrow, I'm guessing the bruises will show up from the obstacles.

oooorah! WE HAVE TO GET A FEW TEAMS TOGETHE FOR NEXT YEAR!

ps IT was HARD, but to quote Jeff, "It's no PAINSTORM (TM)" lol. CrossFit kicks the Mud Run's butt! WOOF.

Good job Laura! Was the run on Pendleton itself? I use to live in Oceanside for a few years.

Thanks, everyone! :-)

Micheal, yes, it was on Pendleton. The course was a loop around the resevoir - a WIDE one. At one point we crossed the resevoir which was about 5' deep. Hence the swimming!

Hah! Jonathan, I just noticed the link only works if you copy and paste! darn.

It was pretty fun. It helped that a team dressed as superheroes was with me most of the way, and then they finished 10 minutes later than I did!

Thanks, Karl!

My legs and hips have already recovered. I owe THAT to CrossFit along with the fact that I finished.

I've been talking the painstormees at Brand X. I missed a heck of a workout.
