Re: Hardest workout you've ever done?

I think if I tried Kalsu as Rx'd, they would have to let me sleep there.

Hills or not - I'd have to agree with Shane. There's nothing like literally, running as fast as your body allows you to, and then repeating the task.

i'd repeat the former, but swear off the latter.

Agreed. Most workouts hurt when you do them but feel great afterwards when you lie down. Then there's Fran, which makes me hurt for 20 minutes afterwards. No combination of lying down, resting, recovery position can make it feel any better...

FRAN... although since I'm newish (4 months), AND 51 years old, this may not be tough for anyone else. It kills me.

50 wall ball shots
125ft weighted walking lunges (25# girls, 45# guys)
40 WB shots
125ft weighted walking lunges
30 WB shots
125ft weighted walking lunges
20 WB shots
125ft weighted walking lunges
10 WB shots
125ft weighted walking lunges

I could barely walk for 4 days...

Don't worry Vicki... I think everyone finds Fran tough... if you're not dying by the end of it... you're not working hard enough!

I'd probably have to say Murph for me, after my 15th round of Cindy I had to take my 10kg weight vest off and do the remaining 5 without. Those press ups killed me! Put it back on for the final squats and run though!

For me, it's probably 200 kettlebell swings for time. Massive oxygen debt, heart rate through the roof (solidly over 190 for most of it), muscle fatigue, lactic acid, body overheating, grip failing - it still haunts me in my nightmares.
Hiking the Grand Canyon rim to rim in the middle of Summer.

Re: Hardest workout you've ever done?

I tried Kalsu with a 125# sandbag instead of a 135# barbell.....stupid stupid idea. Even more stupid for me to do it on shift, outside in the FLA summer heat. Naturally, we were up the entire night.

It took about a week for me to get myself right...
