Re: Crossfit and PGA Golfers

I personally do not see a difference between me playing golf before I started doing CrossFit (150 lbs, deadlift probably under 200 lbs) and me playing golf after a little bit more than 2 years of CrossFit (175 lbs, deadlift @ 465 lbs). This is both considering distance of the tee and general scoring.

For a PGA player, this would be a matter of testing it out. Maybe it is going to help his game, maybe it is going to hurt. A golf swing is somewhat too complicated to determine the outcome of putting it under a potent fitness regime like CrossFit.

Besides that you have to consider that the constantly varied approach of CrossFit is going to make your body feel different each and every day. 5x5 deadlifts is just different compared to Kalsu.
Therefore, for a PGA pro, I personally would say something like 5/3/1 fits better.

Nice place to work out. You could actually do CrossFit there.

Yeah, I think that is what most of these guys do. I remember videos from Furyk and Villegas doing pretty much the same.
