Re: Title Boxing Platinum Pro Timer

Here's the model I was going to order:

(wfs)

Although, the Title Timer looks like it has more functions.

Thanks,
Scott

You're right Scott, from what the add said the Title timer has many more functions. The Title timer is easy to set up and use, has a remote and you can program 5 different timers you can call up at the push of a button. You will not be disappointed with this.

Re: Title Boxing Platinum Pro Timer

Eugene,

Thanks for the information. I ordered the timer for my facility this morning. Can't wait to try it out with my clients. Thanks again, Pat.

Re: Title Boxing Platinum Pro Timer

I just got this timer yesterday and am very happy with it. Since I do my workouts by myself, I was anxious to find a way to get a delayed start so I could hit the start button, walk over to the bar and be prepared for the start. Also, by doing it this way, I couldn't delay the inevitable.

This is how I set mine up:
Timer 1: Count UP
Timer 2: Count DOWN
Timer 3: Tabata Intervals for 32 intervals
Timer 4: FGB, 1 minute intervals for 17 minutes
Timer 5: 30 Seconds

There is a Timer Booking key that allows the consecutive running of two timers. To start, press Timer 1 and then the Timer Booking key. This will let Timer 1 start after the first timer. I then press Timer 5 and the start button. I now have 30 seconds to prepare. At the end of 30 seconds, the buzzer sounds and Timer 1 begins immediately.

This works perfectly for me. For those that are running a class and not participating, the remote works fine. Eugene made a point earlier about the up/down count function that is important. If set to UP, the timer counts up for all 5 timers. So, if I'm going to use Timer 2 then I need to quickly go to the Program key and just toggle H1 to down. David.

Re: Title Boxing Platinum Pro Timer

Clever. I was wondering what you would do with that booking function, glad you could make use of it. I find it easier to just position myself next to whatever piece of equipment I am going to use with remote in hand. I just start whichever timer I want and set the remote down where I am least likely to step on it. Your method is more elegant, more clever. I do think that it is a pain that the timer only counts up or down for all the timers...seems like you should be able to set it either way for any of the timers. Great timer though, we use it all the time.

Re: Title Boxing Platinum Pro Timer

Eugene (and others):

I ordered the platinum timer and I am having some difficulty understanding the instructions. I attribute this to the horrible translation to English which offends my sensibilities.

If you could send me your "cheat sheet", I would appreciate it very much.

The timer does look great. Thanks for the tip and the review(s).

Re: Title Boxing Platinum Pro Timer

I've attached the cheat sheet...but this was just for how to use the timer as I have it set up for while I was gone in Disneyland. I agree with you with the instructions, they do seem to be difficult to follow. Each click of the button as you go through the letters for t1 (timer 1) represents the start time, end time, whether or not it repeats and that sort of thing so you just set each of the letters for what you want that timer to do. It took me several times through to get the hang of it but eventually it will make sense.

Re: Title Boxing Platinum Pro Timer

If I were to have the writer of the instructions express my sentiments to you Eugene, it might sound something like this, "appreciation is felt for the thing of instructions passed on you once did".

In other words, thank you.
