I'm really confused about tomorrow's WOD [death by pull up]

Quote:
With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute... continuing as long as you are able.

Use as many sets each minute as needed.
so for the first minute, 1 pull up
2nd minute, 2 pull ups
3rd minute, 3 pull ups

So as each minute or "round" goes by, you get less and less rest time.

Let's say you're on the 15th minute and it takes you 58 seconds to complete. Does that mean that you only have 2 seconds before you start your 16th round for 16 pull ups? And what happens if you don't complete the 16 pull ups before the minute is over? Is that the point @ which you stop?

So @ this point, if I can only get in 11 pull ups and not 16, is my score 15?

Yes.

I'd do the score as 15 +11

Yes, each round lasts exactly one minute. If you don't complete the number of pullups required in a round, you are done, and your score is the number of rounds completed.

Same idea as the death by clean & jerk workout from a few weeks ago, except you'll probably get more rounds with this one.

cool, thanks guys..

And do you start w/kipping pull ups right away or can you do strict form pull ups and then switch to kipping when you need to?

Let's say that I can only do 10 strict form pull ups, does that mean that when I'm at minute 15, I can do 10 strict and 5 kip? Or do I just start kipping them all from this point?

Or am I just over-analyzing?

Kip like you're life depends on it. This goes for any CF workout that has pullups in it and doesn't specifically say "Dead hang" anywhere.
