Why not? Lots of affiliates have their own programming and/or follow the main page several days behind. Among other things, it gives them time to work out subs and/or scaling for their clients, brush up the trainers' knowledge of the movements, etc.

At Gallatin CrossFit we're doing the Main Site WOD a day or two behind as that helps me stay on a 5 day on 2 day off schedule(mon - fri w/ sat and sundays as rest days). As you may know, the Main Site is 3 days on 1 day off. So the delay helps me fill in gaps left from weekend days on our schedule compared to the Main Site which runs through the weekends.

Brandon, congratulations on starting your CrossFit training. Keep in mind that the workouts listed on crossfit.com are written for the "elite" athlete and are meant to be scaled by basically everyone else. So don't feel like you are not "doing" CrossFit if you scale back the weights or reps or time etc. Good luck!
