Re: Question on Linda

Reading these it seems like those with either a sort of BB background or Powerlifting bg are going to be better at bench and sustaining bench weight than someone who only focuses or strictly does CF only.

I agree with Michael Henry that CF is great at allowing you to sustain bench weights, but fewer people who dont have good numbers on bench to begin with seem to see an increase than those that maintain prior bench numbers because they got that foundation prior to CF.

Re: Question on Linda

Some good comments there but I still ant satisfied!
I still think bench should be included in the WODs more often despite its lack of being 'functional' Im doing my level 1 cert next month so I will bring it up then and hopefully shed some light on the reasoning.

thanks peeps

There are definitely are some movements that deserve some more attention in general, back squats for example, in the mainsite programming.

The way you can fix this is to just add them in to your own programming.

There is a good argument for the bench press to be included. Namely that you can handle more weight than any other pressing movement.

Throw them in, maybe with Presses when they come up, maybe on a seperate day. It doesn't have to be too complicated really.

Yes. Nothing is stopping you from adding various exercises you feel are lacking. If you know your weak at something then work on it. You can't wait for the mainsite to fix it for you.
