Interesting. I can understand the heart aspect of it easily enough, but that cancer rates were lower caught me by surprise.

It's not surprising because exercise strengthens the immune system. Immune system is involved with fighting off cancers.... among other things too.

lol, maybe not cure... but certainly may inhibit cancer from developing

Although I would say this isn't really anything new... besides another study done on it which is nice.

Technically speaking a improved immune system CAN defeat and put into remmission a cancer.

So id say "squats can cure cancer" isnt that much of a stretch

Uhhh... remission is a loaded word, heh.

There's thousands.. if not tens of thousands of cancers in your body forming every day.

The majority of the time your body finds them and destroys them before they are able to grow significantly and obviously mutate more so that they become malignent and metastasize.

However, when immune system is depressed or is not kept up through poor eating, not exercising, etc. it increases the chances this occurs.

Exercising will certainly not increase immune system funciton right away as it diverts immune system to clean up damage from muscles. This may allow pathogens and cancers to proliferate which is why it's not a good idea to have people exercise when sick or have cancer patients workout hard...

I know you're trying to basically build up that statement... yes in general you can say squats help PREVENT cancer... but it's certainly not really true that squats cure cancer. In any sense of the word cure...
