My interview on FightChix.com -- MMA, CrossFit and more...

Fight Chix, which is a great clothing company all about empowering women as athletes, recently interviewed me for their website. I shared some stories about how I got started in MMA, producing DVDs for Couture and Bas Rutten, and how I got started in CrossFit, too. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out - it was fun!

Very cool.

(The link to Modern Athena is broken in the article, missing the "n" in modern)

That is great Becca! And very cool website! I wish more women (and men) would read it and realize that being scrawny and weak shouldn't be a part of anyone's beauty standard.

Keep up the good work!

I didn't know you trained with Eddie Bravo- are you a big rubber guarder?

Veronica -- that is actually on my list of topics to address in an upcoming blog, either on ModernAthena.com or BreakingMuscle.com, so I will link here when I write it! (wfs links)

Troy -- I earned my blue belt under Eddie and trained with him for about 3 years total. I stopped training BJJ a few years ago as I got tired of the constant injury/ringworm/staph-infection routine. But yeah, have trained a lot of rubber guard.

I love rubber guard. I want to be able to get a gogoplata from rubber guard in a comp, that'd be sick.
