Yeah Frank, I usually warm-up pretty much the same as that day. I'll hit anywhere from 250 to 290 or so, once or twice, then up by fifty pounds or so after that. When going for a 1RM, I don't like to lift too much before I shoot for the stars, so I will only pull 3 or 4 times before I go big.

Dude, Strong work!

I last PR DL'd @ 2xBW and thought I was never going any higher. However, you have inspired and motivated me and I am putting the goal of 2.5BW DL back on the agenda.

You Rawk!

Rayne

Thanks a lot Rayne!

Back in the day, all I ever wanted was to pull 400# so my Ma would buy me this "400# DeadLift Club" T-shirt... Now I have now idea why I kept my standards so low...

I know it's a little late, but great job. It gives me something to work towards. I'll be happy if I can get to 300 in the near future.

Thanks Alexander, I appreciate that.

Glad I could give you some motivation! I'm not sure what your stats are but I'm sure you can get a 300# pull here soon, just gotta do it...

Good luck,

-David

Today, after warming up real good with power cleans and weighted pull ups, I hit the deads trying your method of starting out high. Sets were 5x250, 5x300, 5x350, failed on 400. If I'd gone for singles I'm pretty sure I could of nailed 400 though. Starting out heavier works, at least for me. Thanks David.

Nice!!! Excellent work Frank!

If you would have been going for singles, you would have pulled more than 400, gauranteed.

Next time, rep singles basically the same way you did your x5's. Make your last pull around 350-60ish and then up to 400-10ish, you'll hit it.
