Re: What do you pay for MMA classes?

$150 a month for unlimited BJJ (class or open mat every day). Plus, we get to train at a local MMA gym for free since my instructor trains their fighters in BJJ. Good stuff.

Re: What do you pay for MMA classes?

I pay 170 a month for unlimited access to BJJ/Muy Thai/Judo/Boxing. All in all, there are a grand total of about 24 classes a week, if you went to every class they have available.

Between $65-160 seems to be typical. If you have something to offer, a lot of times you can get discounts or reduced fees. Also competing athletes who represent well don't pay squat. Networking and being cool with people is the best way to train for minimal cost.

+10

At very least, the instructor will let fees slide or let you pop in and out without much fuss.

At my gym, if you are serious about wanting to be a competitive fighter, and the coaches see you putting in the work and select you to join the fight camps (with the potential of making the decision to sign on as a represented fighter) then you don't pay any fees at all.

Re: What do you pay for MMA classes?

i have trained judo at various places for free or damn close to it.

and typically the classes were pretty light.

But the most expensive BJJ/MMA place in town (that is not good)(@ ~$150/mo) is always packed.

It's not about price.

I pay $99 a month for BJJ. Seems to be a good deal around here.

Re: What do you pay for MMA classes?

Here, I've seen different prices...I pay $80 a month for Muay Thai, 5 lessons/wk. I crosstrain at a BJJ/Kickboxing place for $90/mo, unlimited access to classes (potential of 15-20 a week). Most places around here are $100-$150. I've yet to see anything over $150.

$90/month for BJJ and Muy Thai, 7 days/wk. Opportunity for 2 or 3 session per day.

$80 to $100 per month for all you can train is pretty typical. What I mean by "all you can train" is that usually for that membership fee you can attend as many instructor led classes per month as you want.

Not unusual for $125 to $200 per month for very good instructors. Usually these are the instructors directly from Brazil with black belts in Jui Jitsui who open there own schools in America or an MMA instructor with UFC on his resume.
