Is this a bad thing?

I've noticed that most people are reluctlent to mention a particular book and/or author round here. Why?

Re: Is this a bad thing?

I should have been more specific. Try google. The word "fired" might help.

Re: Is this a bad thing?

Thank you sir! That helps.

How does that effect me typing his name/book/web site on this forum? Will I be kick out or what happens to me, if anything?

Re: Is this a bad thing?

I think most things to do with he who shall not be named gets automagically censored. I don't think that talking about him is against the TOS for the message board. Even with the asterisks, most people know what you're talking about.

Re: Is this a bad thing?

Given the number of threads about starting strength, they would have to ban the entire board if they started kicking people that are talking about the trainers they censor...

Thanks for the imput. I just didnt wast to get kicked off or screened. I really hate beating around the bush and modifying words so that they dont offend someone from HQ.

Re: Is this a bad thing?

I haven't seen anyone get harassed for mentioning his name or book, but linking to his site gets ***'d out. Or discussing the circumstances of his departure will probably get you censored as well.
