Ok - as many of you know I have been following the NHE eating plan for a good deal of time. Of course, I have been faithfully following the WODs as well. I stepped on the scale yesterday expecting to see a loss because I look a lot more lean. I ended up registering at 152 which is a gain of over 2 pounds since the last time I checked. Granted, it could be water. Not really worried though. Is it possible that I am losing fat while gaining muscle? Hmm... If so... Me like.. Anyone have any thoughts on the website: www.mybodycomp.com supposedly it measured your bodyfat level via 13-15 different measurement + height, weight, etc. I doubt it's accurate, just wanted to know if anyone knows of the error rate. Had me coming out at 6.5% - I know I am not that lean, just wondering how low I really am.

jay-

after following crossfit and following a paleo type diet for 6-8 months i ended up gaining like 6 lbs and going from around 11% bf to 5.5 - 6% bf.

so to answer your question, yes it is definately possible to lose fat while gaining muscle.
