I'm sure I'm being stupid but today's workout is for a series of pullups, where n = the minute (3pullups during 3rd minute). But it then goes on to say "Use as many sets each minute as needed." What does that mean?

Elliot, it means you can break it up if need be. For example, in round 9 you can do 3 sets of 3 as long as you get them done inside that minute. Unfortunately, minute 10 starts with less rest.
