sub double unders for 400m

i wanted to do todays wod, but the treadmills and indoor track on upstairs and the boxes and dumbells are downstairs, i have to sub thrusters for wall ball already. So my question is, is it at all smart to sub double unders for running? if so how many? or should i just not worry about my time as much and run?

Re: sub double unders for 400m

it's a good sub if you work it the same amount of time it would take you to run 400m

Right on thanks. That makes sense.

Jumping Helen subs 50 DU's in place of the 400m run. I believe the Masters division did this to qualify for the games this year.

Re: sub double unders for 400m

Guess you already did it but I think 400 alternating single unders is a better sub. This replicates more of a running motion rather than another jumping one since youre already doing box jumps.

That's correct but don't expect your Helen times to be equivalent. If you're even halfway decent at D/U's your time will be way faster than standard Helen.
