Re: What is a typical front squat to back squat ratio?

No matter what they are, the ratio doesn't matter as much as the fact that they are both too low! Squat more! Gotta get that squat up!

Kidding aside, I like to play with numbers too, my PRs are a ratio of .82, but if I tested tomorrow it would be more like .85+ since I oly lift more these days.

Re: What is a typical front squat to back squat ratio?

Just chiming in- my front squat is 80% of my low bar BS. I just started really front squatting, so my numbers there are skewed.

Re: What is a typical front squat to back squat ratio?

The closer they are to each other, the better. My old maxes were 330 on the back squat and 275 on the front at a bw of 175 fwiw.

I don't think anyone's fs to bs ratio are very close (fs being 90%+ of bs). And it being better to be closer is completely dependent on your sport. Oly lifters, sure. Powerlifters? No way.

155kg front squat to 180kg back squat, 86%. Both need to go up big style, especially front squat due to my long femurs.

265/325 = 82%. haven't tested FS in a long time though so may be closer to 90% like stated above.
