4 Foot Box Jump - Part 2

I was inspired by Anthony's 48" box jump (wfs) yesterday (thank you Anthony!) and set it as my goal. I was thinking maybe a new years resolution? But I started stacking today and actually hit it. I had no idea my body could do this!!!

Nice job!
CrossFit never ceases to amaze me.
CFers tend to set their mind to do something and next thing you know it - they do it! And reaching the goal generally happens even earlier than the person expects it to!

Our "big" box at my affiliate is a 24" box... one night after a WOD some of us decided to stack some plates on it... I got up to 5 plates which was 39" before we all called it a night. That had to be 3 or 4 months ago now.
I am interested to see what I can do too.

Yeah, the thing about box jumps is how fast you can tuck your legs. Actually, in order to get a high box jump you have to be patient on your jumps. Jump up as high as you can, reach your apex, and then tuck.

that actually makes a lot of sense. since posting box jumps is all the rage at the moment i might have to go for a 60 inch'er...

I was the cameraman for that, and I can attest that Aaron did in fact nearly put a hole in his ceiling while jumping onto a 4 foot box. Nice job on achieving your new year's goal 1 day before the new year actually starts!!!

Haha... Nice job. Bet you'll get that 60" sooner than you think like you did this one. 4ft box jump will be my new years goal next year.. I have to many goals atm to work on. Again great work.
