Good call on Briggs. She's posted a monster score.

Re: Crossfit Open 2016

So what's left for 16.5. We also still haven't had a redo. Cannot think of any old open workouts that don't use an exercise already programmed.

Thrusters
Shoulder to overhead
Box Jumps
Power Clean
Ring Muscle ups please

Re: Crossfit Open 2016

This an engine workout, so I'm going to agree with Briggs as the winner for 16.4.

I think Ben Smith will win the men's side.

I think this will be a No clock will save you... like last year...

We will all complete all of the reps or you will give up.

Saw a instagram post of Froning after finishing it, said he got 302. That will be really tough to beat.

Re: Crossfit Open 2016

If there is going to be a repeat workout this year, it is going to repeat one of the movements we've already seen.

I still think 14.5 (thrusters and burpees) and 15.5 (thrusters and rowing) are likely candidates for repeats.

The movements we haven't seen yet this year are thrusters, box jumps, shoulder to overhead, ring muscle ups and OHS.

I think 16.5 will be a "for time" workout because we have not seen that yet.

I think it will either be thrusters and box jumps or the thruster/rowing of 15.5. Long shot would be OHS and box jumps. Even longer show would be to have some ring muscle ups in there somewhere.

Re: Crossfit Open 2016

agree that the clock won't save you.
I can see a thruster and box jump over workout. That would end the open with a new movement and could be bloody hellish to boot.

Like Castro said you know the movements but you don't know how its going to be dealt out.

If they do an am rap then I hope that the thrusters get progressively harder. Because my 95# thrusters are so slow.

By the end of the workout would feel like the feet were in quick sand.
