Shoes: Inov-8 f-lite 220 PK

Anyone have experience w/ Inov-8 products? Looking for a multi-purpose CF shoe for WODs. Prefer a flat, light weight shoe. Have tried Chuck Taylors and didn't like them.

thanks for any help.

Re: Shoes: Inov-8 f-lite 220 PK

I have the inov8 f-lite 230, the blue ones none the less... There are pros and cons imo. Overall, they are a good performing shoe, provided you are not going to run more than 800m at a time and thats kind of pushing it. They are flat so good for using POSE. They weigh in around the 9.3 oz mark while my ASICS are 13ish oz. They toe is made of an, almost plastic composite that dents in and stays until you pop it out. This of course has nothing to do with performance, just looks funny... They do fit pretty close to size

In conclusion, not a bad shoe overall. At 100 bucks the price may be a little high for the product...

Re: Shoes: Inov-8 f-lite 220 PK

Back in my heavier LSD days, I ran in Inov8 Roc-Lites and loved them. This was my first (albeit unintentional) step towards minimalist shoes. They held up well, and I've never heard/read bad things about Inov8 shoes.

How wide is the heel. Is it like most "sprinter shoes" narrow? or wide like a chuck. I am also looking at them I am destroying chucks( last about 3 months) and vans ( last about 5 months max) and looking for something to last a bit longer.

Re: Shoes: Inov-8 f-lite 220 PK

I've got some inov-8s (I forget the model) that i have used on every wod and for running. I've tried chucks, vans, nike free, 5-fingers etc. and nothing comes close to these shoes. I have had past problems with plantar fascitis so I am very critical of shoes. They could have a little wider toe box but other than that they are great. No, they do not have very narrow heel. The sole is thin but very supportive and the fascia band will produce a noticeable difference. I also had very good customer service. Just get them you won't be disappointed.

Re: Shoes: Inov-8 f-lite 220 PK

I just got a pair for christmas and I like them so far. To me they are similar to nikes in the fact that they are narrow. I had to take out the insole just so my foot would fit(width) in my normal length shoe. HTH.
