Hey everybody, glad to be here
Just wanted to post a greeting to everyone here. I've been a lurker on the boards for a few months, but used to come to site for the WOD starting about a year & a half ago. After reading & learning a lot from all of you, I registered to see if I could give back a little something.
(Feel free to skip the history )
I've been active most of my life but usually in basketball or football. Due to life changes, I started focusing on weight training more and while I got fairly strong for my size (5'5" ~150lbs) I was never really happy with my physique, even after 3+ years of training. Around this time I discovered WODs posted from various sites & tried some out; they destroyed me everytime ( burpees...) so a couple friends & I started doing them as best we could at our local globo-gym. It's not ideal, but it's what I can afford right now.
All the bodyweight work plus the intense cardio/endurance sessions have also helped my other love of running. But I'll save that for a later post...suffice it to say I'm faster than before, less prone to injury & down to about ~130lbs.
Long story short, I'm just glad to be here See you all around!
