Re: Magnesium for sleep

I like ZMA a lot and it contains magnesium (not sure the type or dosage off the top of my head). I really notice a difference when I take it in the quality of my sleep.

Use the oil. Spray 10 x on your feet and wherever you are sore. You'll sleep like a baby with vivid dreams.

Glycinate, threonate, oronate, fumarate, and taurate are all good oral sources. I think sulfate and chloride can be taken topically. Check out Poliquin's website and store; he is big into magnesium. There are some forms, such as oxide, which you want to avoid due to causing loose stools.

Re: Magnesium for sleep

I took 200 mg for the first time the other night . I haven't taken it since. I had restless sleep and crazy dreams!! Maybe I should take it earlier in the day

I thought that was a positive effect!

Re: Magnesium for sleep

I've been doing ZMA for years now - I'm a super light sleeper and ZMA helps me with a good deep sleep. Vivid dreams for sure.

Three caps and hour before bed.
