Homemade Outdoor rig

Hey guys I have decided to make a outdoor rig for rope climbs/muscle ups and pull-ups. I have tried a tree in my yard but the branches give a little when I kip up on muscle ups. That being said I think I'm gunna make it in a triangle shape with different heights. 1 height for rope climbs/muscles and 1 for pull-ups. I had a couple of questions though.

1) I have a lot of woods on the back of my property. I'm sure I could find some trees the right height and diameter to cut. But would this be a good plan? I don't want them to rot on me and someone get hurt.

2) for one of the bars I was planning to use a barbell shaft I had a barbell break recently and thought I could reuse the shaft. But would it hold up in the weather/rain?

Not really your question, but it might be useful.

1) If you're using your own lumber, it would have to be treated in some way to be weather resistant (wfs). If it is mounted in the ground use concrete in a hole.

2) It depends on the type of finish the barbell has. All barbells need maintenance (wfs) - some more than others.

Consider making a pull-up bar out of galvanized pipe or black steel. It's affordable from Lowes or Home Depot. Paint in and around joints with rust-resistant paint, as the joints are going to be the first areas to rust.
