Tires

I am planning on outfitting my garage this summer and I was going to build a 3in1 style box like on these forums. I would also like to add a large tire for additional tire work along with sledgehammer work and any additional fun I can think of with it. Where have ya'll found tires? The cheaper the better.

Re: Tires

You shouldn't have to pay for a tire. Most people will be happy for you to haul it off, so they don't have to dispose of it themselves.

Google Tire Yard and you should be good to go. Good luck

Re: Tires

Look for a local tractor supply store or put a wanted ad on Craigslist.

Most people will be thrilled to have you haul one of these away for them.

Re: Tires

In Lexvegas you should have no shortage of tire shops. Look for ones that handle tractors and large equipment. They'll have junk tires they wil just give you

Re: Tires

We got ours from a place that services heavy duty construction equipment. I couldn't find anything under "tractors", but I found a bunch of places when I searched for "construction". They had an entire yard of used/damaged tires and let us take as many as we wanted for free. We got two large tires for flipping and one smaller skidder tire for sledgehammer hits. They even loaded them up onto our truck for us. Good Luck.

Re: Tires

We got two tired 2 weeks back. Little fun fact. It sucks big time washing tired that were used in the farm fields. You have to wash them spotless to get rid of the smell. We spent 4 hours washing and shopvacing the water out. If you can try to get construction tires. Just my opinion.

Re: Tires

I got a 400 pound tire for free. He even had his guys load it for me. All you have to do is ask, these places have to pay to get rid of them most of the time.
