Not quite sure where to post this, but the "Rowing News" (monthly magazine covering competitive rowing) has a dynamite issue out right now focusing on winter (i.e., ergometer) training.

Lots of discussion of workouts, drills, good technique vs. bad technique, carryover to the water, plus some specific workouts that I sincerely hope we never see in a WOD . . . they look like they would bury me. (The lead cover story is "Get Fit (Or Die Trying)", so you know where they're coming from.)

It's usually a tough magazine to get unless you're a subscriber, but they recently got a new distribution deal that should put them in pretty much every Barnes & Noble and Borders in the land, so you should probably find it. A gread read . . .
