Oh Brock...

Not to give this guy more attention but what is he thinking? I can understand being self-confidant and all that jazz but I would think he would want to be a good representative of the sport (at least I would think Dana would want him to be). He was going off of pro wrestling heel heat last night and that was rIdiculous. I think his time in the WWF has scrambled his brains into thinking everything is a show. Calling Mir fat? (go compare BF percentages). Insulting one of the UFC's main sponsors, saying he doesn't respect anybody (pal, smarten up), and I could go on but I won't bother.

Maybe Dana enjoys being seen as as an up and coming three ring circus; I don't know. Personally I will not order any UFC PPV'S anymore that have Lesnar on them. Only when Dana brings in Fedor to crush that idiots skull (and he can) will I pay to watch him.

Last night was a sad night for MMA.

Re: Oh Brock...

I agree. Can't wait to see a humble Carwin or Fedor tear him up.

Re: Oh Brock...

I also thought Lesnar was a disrespectful jerk. For the record however, post fight conference, he apologized for acting "very unprofessionally". Also apologized to Bud Light lol.

Dana White said that he thinks a Lesnar/Fedor fight is inevitable and is going to happen. I hope Fedor chews him up if/when.

Re: Oh Brock...

I also thought it did no good for the sport. it was disrespectful and just reinforced the stereotypes that are slowly leaving. However did anyone think it was an act or that Brock is truly the world's biggest a-hole? It may have been negative attention he got, but I bet alot of people (not me) will buy the next fight just to see what he says.

Re: Oh Brock...

MMA athletes have been trying to juggle a PR issue in terms of the image they present. I just got done watching TUF Season 7 (again) when JT was thrown off the show. TUF seems to be a collecting plate for bad behavior, but that showed there were limits and that there was some concern for image.

Brock Lesnar is not good for the sport's image. While he doesn't go around trashing things, his attitude and unsportsman-like conduct just lower the standards. I do think the apology was necessary, however he's got a lot more to do before he can recover from this last incident.

Re: Oh Brock...

I guarantee Dana MADE Brock apologize - and explained that even though he "knows how to sell PPV" tickets, that is to the detriment of the sport, of the UFC, and not worth it for the organization as a whole. Dana (love him or hate him) has been building the UFC for far too long to watch Brock tear down its image.

Re: Oh Brock...

Is Lesnar any different than Ali, or Tyson? Villians are good for fight sports.

Re: Oh Brock...

He won who cares really its all part of the show and that was one of the best cards of all time, I mean every fight was good. Every single fight was entertaining whats not to like about last night. I thought Brock was hilarous last night and if he wants to shoot his mouth off, let him. Brock is only going to get better, so fasten your seatbelts boys, he is here to stay and I'm happy about it.

Re: Oh Brock...

He apologized after. Maybe he was just pumped up. I doubt he'l be doing that again. He still can't take back those words though.
