Rogue Advertising & Marketing with a "Deuce & a Half"

We were all sitting around trying to think of how to advertise and/or put together a marketing plan to make us more well known in the community. Troy wanted to setup a tent and sponsor some local races etc, which has a price tag north of 2K.

I just couldn't get myself to pull the trigger and go down the traditional advertising road. So I decided to do the following:

1) Purchase a 1971 M35 Deuce & a Half Army Truck, it is fully functional - 3K

2) We are having a custom cover made for the cargo/troop area on the back with our logo and website

3) We are entering local 5k's with about 20 athletes, all of them will be taken in the Deuce

4) We plan on driving it through the town regularly and also have offered it as a parade vehicle

We are like little kids with a new Tonka truck, I can't stop driving this thing! Everybody loves it!

Take a look at some pics on our site: Rogue Fitness Deuce wfs

True Guerilla Marketing at its best!

Re: Rogue Advertising & Marketing with a "Deuce & a Half"

I got a wild hair last night and drove it to my house across town, the neighbors love the exhaust that goes straight from the turbo diesel engine!

On the way back it started to rain like crazy, lucky me the windshield wipers didn't work. You can actually manually move them back and forth in case they fail, so I had to manually wipe the windows for 30 minutes. I think I got carpal tunnel.

I think Dave Picardy at North Shore is looking for one so Eric have at it!

We took some of our members for a ride after their workout the day we got it...lets just say everyone was cackling like idiots! It is definitely a big hit with everyone except the neighbors.
