difference bwtween pressing, heaving and regular snatch balance

Can someone tell me the essential differences between these exercises. I want to follow the Burgener oly-lifting from the dec CFJ.

I must say, I have not looked at the before coming CFJ's yet.

Re: difference bwtween pressing, heaving and regular snatch balance

Snatch balance is the real exercise - pressing and heaving are essentially progressions to it and never really used after it's learned.

Pressing: Feet begin in receiving (squat) position; bar racked on back with snatch grip. Press yourself down under the bar into an overhead squat. Slow positioning movement.

Heaving: Same start as pressing. Get a quick dip (very quick/easy) to unload the bar for a moment while you drive under it into overhead squat. This is a quick drive under.

Sn Bal: feet begin in pulling position. Dip/drive to unload bar just enough to drive under while repositioning the feet to the receiving position. Attempt to get as little elevation on the bar as possible.
