If the machine is in decent shape, then yes. Personally, I would get it.

i just bought a model C in new condition for $450. {love that craigslist} now i'm selling my model B to a co-worker for the $250 i paid for it.
Something else to consider is if your work place or local gym has a machine. If so i'd be less likely to pay top dollar. But if theres not a CII availible to use, i'd pay more.

What is a 'high mileage' rower? On the PM2 you can hit ">" and "OK" to get lifetime Kilometers.

So, let's assume a health club setting. Open 200 days a year. Assume people only row 500s. On average 10 people row a day.

So that's 1000 KM a year? Does this sound reasonable?

One of the rowers in our work fitness center has 9600 miles. This seems to jive with my math. This unit probably came from a health club setting before being placed here as the fitness center is subcontracted.

I have yet to see a used Model C with more than 1000 KM in a "private sale". People buy them and just don't use them.

On average :-) I have paid $275 for a C.

A guy on Craigslist is selling a Model D (he thinks it's a C; he bought it 18 months ago, but the pic he had on his ad was of a D) for $450. I think that's a pretty good deal and might be worth it to take a drive up there and get it. Thoughts?
