Oh, didn't know it was up already. Sorry about that!!!

I'm not trying to say it is true, I just thought it was worth bringing up in case it is true.

Re: Huge Decline in Quality

Though many of you are affiliate members and run affiliates, i do not have the ability to attend an affiliate. I thought it was important though, one thing he did bring up. As a community, we push to master technique and self motivation in an effort to better our capacity for fitness. But don't we, as a whole, want all affiliates to be just like the best ones? Not just mediocre, but perfect, as CrossFit aims to be? Maybe this article is wrong and mostly all affiliates to follow the crossfit theme. I just don't want to see so many affiliates open up and ruin this vision of Crossfit in the future to the point where they are just another globo gym.

Then again, a true crossfitter will know better, and know where and who to follow in the pursuit of truly bettering ourselves, and nothing really has changed since crossfit's beginning. It will just be that idiots tried and failed at crossfit and included that shortcut mentality into it.

So as I type this reply, I realize that crappy affiliates will open, it is just the natural way of humanity. There will always be morons, and those morons will try anything to look like an ancient greek sculpture.

1) threatening to flood the boards with this topic reposted over and over is NOT a good way to make friends with the members here or the mods. EDIT: As you can see by Lynne's big red letters

2) this has been brought up and posted in no less than two threads already on these boards.

Perhaps you should give the crossfit community a little more credit, rather than assume we've swept it under the rug and are ignoring both the article and the good points that it makes.

I just haven't seen it on here yet. I didn't look at enough topics

I'M SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really didn't mean to, just got a little emotional from the article.

Truly I am sorry

If a moderator could please close this thread so we can revert to the original one, again I'm sorry.

Re: Huge Decline in Quality

This is definitely a conversation worth having and one I had with the owners of a few of the local affiliates here this weekend.

Andy you make some great points. One being a test at the end of the certification.

If there are problems we need to be part of the solution here. I think as affiliates we have a great oppurtunity to do this.

At our CF101 last weekend, Coach said that a test is forthcoming for the L1 certs.

I usually keep programming comments to myself but since this is in a magazine already, it might as well be said that this is an example of truly terrible affiliate programming. There are quite a few others who do the same stuff.
