Thursday 2/11

WOD:
50 thrusters (45 lb)
15 tuck pull-ups
40 thrusters
12 tuck pull-ups
30 thrusters
9 tuck pull-ups
20 thrusters
6 tuck pull-ups

14:37 First workout in a few days, I pulled something in my lower back a few days ago. Back felt pretty good throughout the workout, but took it a little slow to make sure form was good.

6 power cleans (135 lb)
7 thrusters (95 lb)

18:10

Cut the rx'd reps in half to focus on form and protect my back. My back felt pretty good throughout the workout, I should be back to normal in another day or two.

WOD:
1 Rep Max Snatch

65-85-95-115-135-135

Need to get more comfortable with the lift. Once the weight starts getting heavy, I start psyching myself out.

Metcon:
5 Rounds for Time:
5 Clean and Jerk (135 lbs)
3 Muscle Ups

8:50

The clean and jerks felt really good. I need to work on stringing muscle ups together, they were still all singles so that hurt my time a lot.

Great work today, Dave! Snatch will come along nicely with a little more frequency... and the C and J looked great! As far as the stringing muscles up together goes - I think it can have a lot to do with tendon strength (being able to hold false grip longer) but I'm not sure cause I've yet to do them myself! I'll let you know!

145 was my old single rep max, so pretty happy about that.

24 second plank (subbed for ab wheel rollouts...lower back is still a little sore and didn't want to risk hyperextending it)

My back still isn't feeling too hot. I didn't really bother me during the WOD, but it's been really tight/sore. May go to the doctor and check it out in another few days if it's not feeling any better.
