No more ProGenex? And I think is a good thing because it is opening more avenues to other athletes in big fitness corporations. my opinion.

Well, I say good for him in the sense he is getting paid.

You are going to see ALL of the major supplement companies getting into CrossFit in a big way now. Trust me on that.

+1.

When the other supplements see this happening they'll start picking up other athletes more than likely. Good stuff

What do you think would be a supplement geared towards CrossFit? I'm curious.

:yeah that:

i'm not experienced by any stretch of the imagination, but imo bsn is up there with groups like muscletech in the really expensive but not any more beneficial than stuff you can get for a lot cheaper. what's your take on them chris?

I think each company is different. In my opinion BSN cuts corners on ingredients by under-dosing them etc. (not saying their labels are bogus). I also think their number one concern is sales and not performance thus they compromise products to make them taste better etc.

I think MuscleTech is similar, but worse when it comes to product claims based upon ingredients and I really hate the fact they try to make mundane ingredients into more than what they are by coming up with special names for them and or using their scientific names as opposed to the commonly used generic.

The bottom line is those companies have MASSIVE ad and marketing budgets. Why? They are making a lot of money. Why? They have large profit margins made larger by less than optimal ingredients and ridiculous claims about said ingredients.

I respect them for what they have done in terms of success, but I don't respect HOW they have done it.

In the end I compete with them, in my opinion, by offering a superior product at a reasonable price and offering my expertise and participation in the community (and support).

You know, it's funny, that was the one product which I saw on their site that stood out to me as truly effective in terms of overall ingredients etc.
