I purchased mine through Allison Foreman and got the crossfit discount. I saved about a $100.00 by getting it through her. Thanks Allison! I will always check with her before my next purchases.

My review for the GHD is as follows:

Construction- 9.5 Very Solid. Equal to Cybex or any other good commercial brand. Far superior to my Light commercial Body-Solid, Tuff Stuff, keys, Yukon etc...

Value- 10 Awesome! 1/2 the price of equal units

Adjustability- 10

Design Features- 7 ( see below)

Only complaints here would be with the foot plate, it should be bigger like the guys @ Elite FTS say so that your toes are fully in contact. However, for me this is a cheap fix ($30?) and a non issue for the savings.I will fab my own foot plates.

Roller pads- I had heard others say they were not sold on the split roller pad design and I see why. However, after adjusting a little and getting a few seperate workouts in on it I am used to it and dont thik it would matter too much one way or the other.

I would definately make this purchase again.

I was looking at that exact bench last night, made a little "note to self" - "Get this one day". Definately on the wish list though. Not cheap by a long shot.

Ryan,
What didn't you like about the split pad design? This is also on my "wish list", but probably after a Concept II...

I agree with the service that Allison provides - my rubber hex dumbbells and flat bench arrived today and I am looking forward to dropping those things when I am starving for oxygen!

Stuart-

You wont go wrong with this unit. At $589.00 shipped it was 1/2 the price of compareable unints ( with linear bearing and 11 gauge steel)from Elite and Sorinex.

Gordon-

Because of the round shape vs a more flat shape I presume that there may be a little more pressure on the upper thigh. Howerver, I have not used another GHD to compare to. Like I said though, I WOULD make this purchase again.

We have one at our gym, too. Very sturdy and a good buy. However, we have had issues with the adjustment. Ours is very sticky, but we have found that a little WD-40 and Goo Gone does wonders. Also, if you sit on the hip pad and push with your feet, it will move easily.

Thanks for the review Ryan, the York GHD is next on my wish list. I too can vouch for Allison and the awesome service she provides. Check with her whenever you plan to purchase from York.
