D2, pretty good. COngrats.

WHat position do you play and I hate that kind of jersey. Our team switched to them just before I stopped playing. I always wore my cotton jersey.

I'm a hooker. I don't mind the new jerseys. They are a whole lot cooler than the old cotton ones, which is important in Florida.

I hate tight shirts, they make me tired. I don't know why, I just go with it.

I played Prop once, thought my spine was going to explode. No problem with 2nd row though. I switched between wing and 2nd row for the most part.

I've played prop a couple times. At 150 playing in Men's, I got bent in half. I've played every position a few times.

Re: National Champions Rugby Team!

Those jersey just started getting introduced about a season or two after I stopped playing. I always wanted to have a chance to try them. Maybe once my knee heals and I can play again, I'll get to do so.

BTW - Congrats on the championship dude! Awesome stuff!

Congrats on the win!!

I love those jerseys, they're like sausage casings! I played hooker once in a men's game. I did surprisingly well, but the next day I was more sore than I've ever been in my life.

Isn't that Glendale stadium f'ing amazing to play in?

Re: National Champions Rugby Team!

I played, coached, and administrated the Lancaster Roses (D2 final a few years ago) for many years (tighthead prop in my playing days). My buddy and I were keenly watching the progress of the game against Doylestown (another EPRU club). Must have been quite exciting to go into overtime--from the scores it looks like D-town gassed and your monster 8 was a handful.

Congrats though--you guys moving up to D1?

Re: National Champions Rugby Team!

We just got new jerseys like that. I feel trapped in them, oh well.

I have mucho respect for hookers. I don't think I could ever do it, then again I'm probably too tall for the position as most hookers I know are short and kind of shaped like a bowling ball.

Re: National Champions Rugby Team!

Thanks. Yes, overtime was a killer. We had been busting our butts leading up to the playoffs, working harder than I have since college. That 33% sign you may have seen on the sidelines stands for the 33% extra effort we were all giving. I think that did pay off in the long-run. Also, having three full sides really helped. Our DIII side also made the playoffs and a few of those guys had to be called up to DII due to injuries and scheduling conflicts. Those DIII guys stepped up with zero lack of play. Part of that is due to the pushing of each other. The DII guys were being pushed to keep their spots by the DIII guys and the C-Side guys pushed the DIII guys. You've probably heard, "Talent wins games but depth wins championships." That was never more true. Our FNGs and guys coming out of retirement deserve it just as much as the starters.

We have a couple guys who played for the Roses, and the Roses came down for our Gasparilla Rugby Tournament last year. They're a good team.

We haven't decided yet if we are moving up to DI.
