I was asking my coach recently about buying some bumper plates for my home gym and he told me to wait till today.

Anyway today he shows up at the gym with about 15 new plates. His policy is to put the new stuff in the gym and sell the old stuff and so today he grabbed a pair of well used but by no means dead 15kg bumpers and said "take these, no charge"

Talk about happy! Now i've just got to buy some rubber and plywood and a pair of 10's and i'm all set

i'm not sure if i will be in Cowra on may 13, because i scored a job in canberra. Also i'm not even sure where they are going to have the o-lift comp. i trained with the cowra coach and son last week and he had no idea whats going on.

btw, how much will the bumpers be roughly and are they getting rid of any 5kg full size plates (like those white ones we used at the tsc)

thanks mate

Cross your fingers for me guys, was showing the guy who i got my car tyres off picture of the tyre drags on the weekend, plus them being attacked by a slegde hammer. And i mentioned that a tractor tyre would be better to hit.
Well.... he currently has a tractor out the back of his workshop it looks like guy who owns it will be replacing both back tyres.
If that is the case he said can have them. If im lucky sundays workout will be tyre flips from the auto shop to the gym (about 150m)

I'm not sure if he'll have 4x 10kg plates and i know that he won't get rid of the 5's because there is only one set in the gym.

If Luke is not getting rid of old 10's then he can sell you new ones but they will be eleikos and therefore very expensive

The cheapest bumpers i've seen are $115 for a 10kg from buffalo sports.

I checked with Luke and he doesn't have any secondhand 10's

if you want new i can get them for you but they are pretty expensive at over $200 a plate
