I'm not a Dr. or a scientist or an elite athlete or heck, even a really cool wise high school janitor - but I will say this, I have used enough K-Tape to know...It hasn't had any positive (or negative for that matter) effect on my injuries or problem areas. If it works for other people, hallelujah. No such luck for this guy though.

Re: Whats on her shoulder?

I actually really like the stuff, I've been using it ever since an OT used for a hand injury I had in 2003. Haven't used it for the shoulder, but I've used it myself on my hand for tendonitis, tennis elbow, patellofemoral pain, and Achilles tendonitis. Of course its possible its just a placebo effect, but I really like it.

I'm a physical therapy student and in the clinic I've also seen people have a huge decrease of plantar fascitis pain after using the tape. Certainly doesn't work for everyone, but couldn't hurt to try it.

I've seen individual rolls on sale in the athletic injury section of Dick's Sporting Goods, in precut strips, if you wanted to try it out. There's quite a few YouTube videos of how to apply it.

Re: Whats on her shoulder?

I have used K tape on a shoulder. It was more of a reminder for having joint in the right position post op. If I didnt pull my shoulder back into the table, that tape pulled skin which was annoying and thus forced me to correct the feeling. It helped somewhat.

Re: Whats on her shoulder?

I used KT tape on my medial and lateral epicondylitis and it worked wonders. I literally could not grip a coffee cup and from the first time I used it I was about 80%. Big difference!
