Yes, WP strips the javascript even if you paste it into the HTML side of the editor. I tend to add it directly to the database using PHPMyAdmin.

You can also take a look at this:

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

Can someone please help me with this issue I have been having:
When I put links in posts or pages of my Wordpress blog some of the links will reload the current page.
below I put a piece of the HTML as an example (the ** are not part of the HTML):
********

<h2 style="text-align: center;"><span style="line-height: 19px; white-space: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">We train so that we may enjoy life</span></span></h2>
an active life.
<blockquote style="text-align: center;">
<h1 style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The NJ Trail Series</span></strong></h1>
This is run by a friend, Rick McNulty. ¬ The goal of the NJ Trail Series is to make Running FUN!

theses guys hold tons of races, here are a few we are looking forward to:

<a href="https://sites.google.com/site/njtrailseries/spring">the 2012 Spring Series</a> is a series of trail runs that are put on throughout our area - each event has multiple distances from which to choose.

<a href="https://sites.google.com./site/njtrailseries/5k">5K XCountry series</a> a weekly series of 5K events from April 20 until August 31, 2011 on Wednesday nights. Total of about 20 races over the series.</blockquote>
<blockquote style="text-align: center;">
<h1 style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Adventure Races</span></strong></h1>
<strong><a href="http://www.warriordash.com">Warrior Dash</a></strong>

Windham Mountain - Windham, NY - August 11th &amp; 12th 2012

Pocono International Raceway - Long Pond, PA June 16th, 2012

[caption id="attachment_6031" align="aligncenter" width="200" caption="Warrior Dash"]<img class="size-full wp-image-6031" title="Warrior Dash" src="http://runjumplift.com/wp-content/uploads/web video/2010/10/images.jpeg" alt="Warrior Dash" width="200" height="252" />[/caption]</blockquote>
<blockquote>
<h2 style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Sports Leagues</span> - <span style="color: #0000ff;">Co-Ed</span> &amp; <span style="color: #ff0000;">Fun</span></h2>
<a href="http://www.zogsports.com/nj/Sports.aspx">ZogSports Leagues:</a>

**********
the page address is - http://runjumplift.com/?page_id=4670
if you go to this page you may notice that the links to the trail running series work fine:
<a href="https://sites.google.com/site/njtrailseries/spring">the 2012 Spring Series</a>
however the links to the sports league do not:
<a href="http://www.zogsports.com/nj/Sports.aspx">ZogSports Leagues:</a>
, instead the link redirects you to the current
pagehttp://www.board.crossfit.com/images/cnome/smilies/shrug.gif

any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

I have a wordpress blog and want to buy the official domain address just because. Wordpress gives you the option to buy the name directly from them. Go-Daddy also gives you the option of hosting and buying your domain address from them. My blog is somewhat busy, as in 100-200 views a day. What hosting is best knowing my blog is getting progressively busier as time goes on. If this has been answered before I am sorry.

Thanks.

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

My site is self-hosted on Media Temple and I am very happy with their service. And ideally you would register the domain via the company that is going to host your site as it makes things a bit simpler for setting up.

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the input. I guess my main question is, my wordpress hosting is currently free, but I wonder what the actual capacity of this "hosting" is. If I pay this $17 to buy the domain, does that include an upgraded hosting account?? Again, this is probably something I can figure out by reading but figured I would ask here before I dive into the nitty-gritty of small print.

Thanks.

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

I am pretty sure that there isn't an additional "hosting" charge for simply mapping a wordpress.com blog onto a new domain name; however I also think you are still stuck with the lack of flexibility when it comes to wordpress.com vs. a fully self-hosted wordpress installation.

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

All of a sudden I'm getting unicorns and rainbows popping up on my WP Admin Panel. I am not drunk or high...they're really there and pop up every time I click on something.

I haven't added any new plugins recently. Anyone see this before?
