Somewhat New, Got Some CF Experience But Not Enough

So I got introduced to Crossfit while working out at a Globo-Gym. Took me awhile to get back into it. A friend of mine that is in Special Forces sent me several of their workouts, one included the Horsemen Training. It's a combination of Crossfit, Operator Jones, and Mountain/Military Athlete.

So I began doing the Horsemen Training. It's broken out into months. Month 1 is strength, Month 2 is Power Endurance, etc.

So after this is over I probably will want to begin WODs, however when I look at them on the site they seem shorter than what I'm doing now. Am I missing something?

Re: Somewhat New, Got Some CF Experience But Not Enough

Length doesn't matter. It's all about intensity. If you perform Mainsite workouts all-out, you will not be missing anything. It becomes very hard to maintain high intensity after around 10 minutes, so those long WOD's really don't provide too much more than the short ones. If you still feel like you need more, add in some additional strength work. Strength influences the other attributes of fitness more than any other single attribute. Good luck, and have fun!
