here's a Q for the old or new CFers

1-is it true the actors in the movie 300 trained with crossfit?

2-what the hell did they do? and how many times a day?

1 - No.
2 - They trained with Mark Twight of Gym Jones (WFS) fame.

And also had great make up teams sketching in approiate definition lines.

Not taking anything away from them here they clearly pushed their limits both nutrtionally and physically.

Observation: "here's a q for old or new cf'ers" Isn't that a quesiton for everyone? lol. I'm bored today I guess.

I think you can google this pretty well too. But honestly, I would find it hard for anyone to get in that kind of shape over even several months without computer on-screen enhancement. But whatever...

judging from your pics, i'd say you were in that kinda shape without computer enhancement.

2) They did this workout. Every day, 3 times a day.

I'm just kidding. I believe they only did it twice. Once at the beginning of their training as a benchmark and then again at the end so that they could observe their progress.

1) They were trained by Mark Twight (and Logan Hood?) of Gym Jones. Gym Jones used to be a CrossFit affiliate.

I don't think the physiques of the Spartan warriors were CG'ed much beyond affecting lighting, contrast and shading to increase definition. I presume they used or could have used make up to great effect as well.

Re: here's a Q for the old or new CFers

I remember thinking that the 300 workout was hard. Just looked at it and I am surprised at how easy it is.

Re: here's a Q for the old or new CFers

I thought Gym Jones was still an affiliate when they were training the guys for 300.
