David Shannahan and I started CrossFit for TEENS at Brand X today. We decided to do Chelsea to start the class off. This was a success in tiring out even the athletes that have been doing this for a while. We had a few people who had already been doing CrossFit and 2 new people there for the first time. One member of the group left after 20 rounds to the bathroom and came back out after five minutes of standing over the toilet about to hurl. When he finally came out it was for 10 second then back to the bathroom for another five minutes.

Yeah, but hurling is an excellent abdominal workout on its own, so it's all good . . .

Congratulations, Connor!

That's great! The best way to solve the problem of inactivity is to educate them young. Let us know how it goes later down on the line.

"You NEVER get any exercise, all you do is play that damn guitar!"

My Mom, Deborah Combs, during an argument with me when I was age 15.

Dan
Who did you wanna be when you grew up? What rock musicians inspired you to practice?

I started playing guitar when I was about 12. That's when the Seattle sound was getting popular and that's what I took to. That took me into punk rock and, eventually, hardcore and post-punk stuff. Tried though I did, I was never able to write three-cord rock songs like much of what I listened to. I was always too arty for my own good. For the most part, the stuff I wound up playing sounded like Slint, Rodan, Fugazi, Cave In, Unwound, etc.

I was a huge Thurston Moore fan before I was introduced to Slint. The first time I heard them I changed allegience immediately. Spiderland is an excellent record by a great band. Pajo and McMahan should be in the ROCK IN ROLL HALL OF FAME. Yeah, they're that good.

Did you see them on the reunion tour?

Amazing.

On the thread topic, Connor, I wish I was half the man you are growing up to be.
