Re: Big Mac vs Angus Thrid Pounder

Man, I've become pretty jaded as to Fast Food. I just don't trust the corporate mentality that rates service on how fast they get you in/out. It's measured in seconds, not minutes.

How do you think they feel about their foods? Most food for the cheapest buck.

I won't go into the books on the subject, but the idea of someone slapping together some food, tossing into bag, well, I'll pass. If you say it's good, you have no clue as to the artificial flavorings used to make it taste "like" it's suppose to or to what your taste buds crave.

I'll find a diner or restaurant and hope the food is better.

I know it sounds anal, but if I know I might not be near good food, I pack.

BTW, if any of you burger people are in the neighborhood, give me a heads up and I'll whip up some Brisket Burgers that will kick your a-s more then any Fran ever will, and we'll have meat cookies for desert.

Jack-In-The-Box tacos, fried, two for 99 cents.

Cooking tacos in a deep fat fryer, on paper, sounds like it should be treated as a crime against humanity. However, for some unexplainable reason, JITB pulls this off perfectly...and these things are absolutely to die for

Trust me, I know the difference between fast food and good food. I could point you out to a few restaurants in San Diego that I'm certain could rival your brisket sammiches (not to say that I wouldn't love to try yours....). I could also point out some extremely healthy, Paleo-friendly restaurants that are fantastic. I love them all, and I'm sure many people feel the same way.

If your restaurants see their cows in the fields on a weekly/monthly basis, know the farmer that's raising these guys, know the slaughter house the puts them down, knows the butcher that cuts the meat, well then, I might agree.

Stop on out some time, you compare.
