Re: hair removal

If you don't want to wax and we're talking chest & back hair, I'd try Nair, personally. Depends on how sensitive your skin is - it can give some folks chemical burns. I'm fine with it.
Option #2 is just to trim it shorter. 1/4" or 3/8" isn't too bad and it makes it look a lot less thick.
Option #3 is to (wo)man up and wax it. Yes, it hurts as bad as you think it would the first time. After that, it still hurts, but not quite as bad. Get brave once and reap the benefits for quite a while...come on, you do CrossFit. Embrace the suck.

I don't recommend shaving. Stubble = yuck.

there's the option of epilating, which rates between Nair and waxing for pain and is fairly effective. I recommend the Braun Silk-Epil, which is the brand that I have and has been more than worth the money.

I think you should think carefully about where you got the idea that less chest/back hair is better. Don't let the popular media try to tell you that less masculine is better.

I always assumed the more body hair you had, the tougher and more bad *** you were. Of course I only reinforce this idea due to my close relation with a cro magnon physique.

Re: hair removal

as I get volder ther is a direction relation to the lack of hair on my head and the growth of hair everywhere else. I am sure the little suckers are disappearing into my skull and coming out on my back.
Personally I dont mind being hairy apart from back and shoulders which kinda colours in my tatts.
Tried waxing - didnt hurt too bad but gave me the worst acne since I was 14.
Tried Nair and Nads - all good - then got pretty bad acne.
Now I just shave it off every couple of weeks, at least people cant play join the dots on my back anymore.
oh yeah, and whats with the hair that start growing out yer ears, nose nd eyebrows?

Re: hair removal

If hair is directly proportional to manliness I am one bad mofo!! I call my back the shag carpet. Every couple of weeks I have my wife break out the 50cc weed eater and give me a trimming then add scotts ground kill to slow down the growth...bless her for lovin a hairy man! Honestly chest and back are equally as hairy...I have the wife shave the back for part comfort (cooler) and yeah vanity. Dont want to go to the swimming pool and clog up the filtration system!

Maybe the '70's open shirt style with the chest hair and chains will come back!

oh yeah just check out the avatar "splains it all"
