fighting the resistance.

Schools, law enforcement, fire fighters, civil servants, and anyone else that has to "sell CrossFit" to a board for approval.

How did you get approval from a board, or boss, to utalize CrossFit as your primary methodology?...let alone spend budget $ on equipment.

HQ-feel free to assist, I know you've been fighting the resistance all the way to DC.

post links to articles/data supporting CrossFit, and how to "sell" & prove it to a boss.

Thanks for the help!

Re: fighting the resistance.

Id go onto the HQ's youtube channel and show the videos they have done on the charter school in Chicago. There are other vids on adaptive athletes and the like. Pretty convincing argument. The vid they did on the Aina/auntie's/uncle's at 100 years of age in Hawaii is very compelling. HQ maybe has some data to fwd to you... GL

Re: fighting the resistance.

I have preached it since I began my journey into CF back in 2005. The program works!

I wish that I still had access to my former unit's shared files, otherwise I'd push you some data that we compiled to lobby for "Big Army" to adopt Crossfit. But here are some things that may assist you:

1. This came out shortly after I returned from Afghanistan where we built an affiliate that it still active. The commander "sold it" and the unit funded several Rogue equipment packages for us!

2. http://pt365.militarytimes.com/2014/...it-study-ever/ (WSF)

I cannot wait to see the outcome of this study.

3. Give me some time to contact some colleages; I know of a unit that has been doing CF to supplement the Army PRT. More to follow....
