What is a good substitute for "Hanging ring extensions"?

Hi everybody,

I am pretty new to CrossFit and trying to follow the WODs as precisely as possible, using various internet content.

However, could not find anything to substitute the hanging ring extensions, since my gym does not have any.

Would appreciate any ideas and suggestions.

Thank you,
Artur

Re: What is a good substitute for "Hanging ring extensions"?

If your gym has Dumbells or Kettlebells just use two of them and hold them where the rings would be. Extend one to the right, pull it back in, extend the other to the left, pull it back in. Easy to scale by just changing the weight of the Dumbells. It's going to be a little harder than the rings since you can't utilize a false grip to shorten the lever, but it should provide a similar stimulus.

Tristan,

thank you very much!

Tried this during my previous work out, and it worked just fine.

Highly appreciate your advice!
